Club FAQ's
Q: If we agree to Motorpool hosting our club's site, who controls our site's content?
A: All content, including club pages, club message boards, club photos, logos, etc. remain controlled by the club's board or its appointed officials.
Q: Are your services free to users?
A: Yes.
Q: Do our members have to join Motorpool to use the new site?
A: No. Our technology will work behind the scenes. We'd like your membership to take advantage of our free, social-networking services, but they will not have to join Motorpool.
Q: What happens to our web address?
A: It remains the same.
Q: Will Motorpool share our membership's email addresses and information?
A: No. Privacy is our number-one concern. We've encrypted Motorpool to the highest possible standards and will protect your member's privacy. Should you choose to have Motorpool redesign your club's web page, it will also share that same degree of encryption.
Q: How long will we be obligated to use Motorpool's services?
A: Six months. Thereafter, a club may cancel at any time. Your content remains the property of the club.
Q: How will Motorpool help us find new members?
A: With the world's largest database of classic and collector cars, Motorpool aims to be the #1 website for car enthusiasts looking for information, technical help, and other like-minded hobbyists. By hosting your club's site, Motorpool makes it easier for car enthusiasts to find your club. Motorpool members who join your club will display your club's logo on their homepage, showing their friends that they are involved with your organization.
Q: What if our site crashes or encounters a technical bug?
A: Motorpool's six dedicated hosting sites provide continuous back up of your content. Our team of software engineers is dedicated to providing responsive support.
Q: How do we get started?
A: Have your technical advisor or authorized officer contact Motorpool's offices at service@motorpool.com or (205) 877-8044.
