Fairfax Blue vs. Black on a 1957 Brougham?
I have owned five Broughams, three of them black. Black was indeed the Brougham's most popular color, followed by white. Brougham owners: please don't have a stroke, but I've decided to paint Brougham 318, which was originally black, to Fairfax Blue.
My fellow Brougham owner, David King, sent me the exact Faifax Blue formulation. The interior of 318 was already the grey-ish blue hue, so the combination looks fantastic. I'll post pictures here soon. In the meantime, what do you think? Use the vote arrows to let me know.

As a purist, I say "leave well alone", i.e. keep the original color. But, hey, painting it purple with pink polka dots isn't going to change the fact that ONLY 400 of these babies were built! In this case, rarity will always pay off.

Hi, I already know a 1958 Brougham that was born 110 Ebony, and now is kind of fairfax blue, and I can tell it looks very very well as black. And as many said, there were a lot of ebony blacks.

Of course do it. Perhaps it's done already?
That Fairfax Blue sounds so much nicer than black, and it's an originally available color!
Do you know how many "White" 53 Eldorado’s are now black or blue or red? Quite a few, and with half of them originally white I don't blame those that choose another original color.
