What year is this car?

0 votes

I found this car sitting at a "lot" in my town.  They told me it was a 1953 Pontiac Eight, but my uncle think's it is a 1951.  Any ideas?  If interested, the guy is asking $1,900 for it and I can attest that it's a complete car.

Check the tail lamp lenses.  They should say guide and _ _.  The _ _ would be the last to digits of the year.  So it might say Guide 51, or 52, you get the idea.  That should tell you what year it is.  I think during this time, those kind of parts were one year only and not shared the following year.

    The two-tone is pretty cool.

Looks like a 1950 or 1951 to me.

I think you are right!  My father had a 50 or 51 chevy that was almost identical to this and that is what he thought as well.
